To
celebrate the summer Space programme at Eden we’re taking a 20ft tall
inflatable astronaut around the beaches and campsites of Cornwall. The
inflatable adds a new level of excitement and interactivity to the campaign
this year and is complemented with a team of promo staff and media walkers.
After the first few days the feedback from the public has been fantastic
with many able to ask the promo team about the programme. The spaceman is
the draw and demonstrates how approachable the 2017 campaign is already proving
to be. And getting the opportunity to spend the summer on the beaches of
Cornwall isn’t a bad job either!

The immediate role
is to take over and continue the good work on the agency’s largest digital
accounts; recommending strategies, executing those strategies and then
reporting on the results post campaign.
However, looking ahead this is an area of the business the Directors are
keen to grow and develop even further given our track record of outstanding
results in the digital space. As such,
for the right individual, there is the opportunity to manage the wider team and
take a more active role in the development of the agency’s digital strategy and
resource.
The successful
candidate will be AdWords qualified.
They will have a detailed working knowledge of the Google & Facebook
platforms as well as a thorough understanding of Analytics. They will have a proven track record of
success in developing accounts from scratch, or rebuilding those they inherit
to deliver tangible results. A working
knowledge of scripts would be advantageous.
The right person
will be organised, numerate and confident in Excel & Google Sheets. They will be a team player with a can-do
attitude, keen to teach, as well as learn from, others. They will need to have
an analytical mind and be able to provide concise yet incisive post campaign analyses,
and then use those learnings to inform future campaigns.
They will be
deadline oriented, able to manage under pressure and capable of managing
multiple priorities at once when required whilst always maintaining a keen eye
for detail.
They will report
to the Managing Director but liaise directly with the client and the internal
account managers as well as the rest of the Digital team.

AN INTRODUCTION TO ADVERTISING ON SNAPCHAT
Snapchat, an ever growing and oh-so powerful social network that has taken the world by storm..
To be precise,over 150 million people daily use Snapchat to send images to their friends, watch stories and see events that are happening around the world.
And it's no wonder that we have now started using Snapchat for advertising, everyday Snapchatters watch over 10 billion videos! Snapchat is a great storytelling platform and a way to promote your content to millions of engaged users.
There are 3 main types of Snapchat ads:
- Snap ads
These are videos that can last up to 10 seconds, these come with a 'swipe up' option allowing mobile users to be diverted to a landing page of choice, an app install page, article or a longer video.
- Sponsored Geo filters
These are a non interactive way to add your company trademark onto Snapchat, when Snapchatters are in a specific location they will be able to see and use your Geofilter to share with their friends, family and social media channels.

These offer a completely new take on brand activation, allowing brands to make a great impression and offer something advertorial for them to interact with. When Snapchatters are finished playing with the filter they can easily share these and promote the brand to a further degree.

THE EVOLUTION OF TECH : CHAT BOTS
We aren't quite at the stage of driving around Deloreans and riding hoverboards to work but technology has taken a huge turn over the past 5 years- so much so that we are now able to depend on Robots to inform us and even go as far as diagnose our medical issues.
Chat bots are huge right now and are set to be the next revolution in tech as we head deeper into 2017, they are already a huge success in the Asia-Pacific region and are slowly making their way across seas to aid businesses and consumers with their daily needs.
No, they cannot cook your meals or do your hoovering for you (yet) and we cannot usually see these chat bots but as time progresses, every time you start Live Chat on a site you will actually be communicating with a robot as opposed to a human. This allows businesses to enhance their customer experience and provide the 24 hour service and attention that in some cases, humans wouldn't be able to provide.
They also give us a better insight into our customer types, behavioral factors of these customers, peak visiting times, any trends in concerns etc to build a more in-depth profile and improve customer service experiencing and advertising targeting- more so than we currently can.
So far banks, restaurants, insurance companies, hotels and many other companies are utilizing these chat bots to enhance their customer experience but as this technology is developed more we will see these chat bots become part of our everyday lives.
